Interfor

About Interfor

Interfor runs a sawmill in Monticello, Arkansas, listed in TimberClear as a mill. The Monticello Division turns logs into finished lumber: 10-foot and shorter 2"x4", 2"x6", and 4"x4" boards, shipped out by rail and truck to domestic markets that include Texas and the US Midwest. The site is 137 acres, bought in June 2015 from the Price Companies. Starting in 2018 the mill was rebuilt, with new log bucking and primary breakdown lines added, along with a planer autograder. It's listed as serving Drew County, and found in the register under Ashley County. The phone number on file is (870) 224-7200, and the mill sits at 211 Old Troy Road in Monticello. This is a sawmill, not a timber-buying or logging service that works directly with landowners on a sale. It takes in logs and turns them into standard lumber for shipment, rather than visiting tracts, marking trees, or negotiating a stumpage price with the person who owns the ground. So this listing suits a landowner who already has logs cut and needs a mill to take them, not someone still standing in their woods trying to find who will buy standing timber, log it, or advise them on the sale itself.
