About Wood Hog Bandsaw Sawmills
Wood Hog Bandsaw Sawmills is based in Plainview, Arkansas. They don't buy timber or run logging jobs on your land. What they do is build personal bandsaw sawmills, the kind a landowner buys and runs themselves to turn logs into lumber. The business comes from "3rd generation sawmill family, with 31 years fabrication experience," and they say "saw dust running thru our veins." The mills are described as all welded, heavy duty tube frame construction, and come "completely assembled, factory set up & tested" before they leave Plainview. They say they aim for more horsepower, more features, and a more operator friendly design than other mills in their class. They list Plainview, Arkansas and the USA as their area, and Yell County as a county they serve. There's no mention of any timber species, no timber buying, and no logging or forestry advisory work, since this is manufacturing, not a landowner-side timber service. They say they "treat people like our neighbors" and welcome visitors to the shop in person. This fits a landowner who wants to own the equipment and mill their own logs themselves, rather than someone looking to sell standing timber or hire a logging crew.
