Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Baxley, GA

Murray Forestry Inc is a logging and timber business in Baxley, Georgia, at 1231 East Parker St. Its main trade is logging, and it also buys timber and works as an independent logger. The business traces its start to 1968, when J.W. Murray began loading pulpwood by hand, and it was built over the years by the Murray family. The work covers thinnings, clearcuts, swamp logging, wood procurement, and reforestation. For wet ground, the swamp and wetland logging relies on specialized equipment and careful planning. Wood procurement connects landowners' timber with mill buyers, aiming for "do the job right" at every step. Reforestation covers site preparation, planting coordination, and longer-term forest management. The area named is South Georgia, and the county listed is Appling. The business carries Georgia Master Timber Harvester certification. In 2004 the Georgia Forestry Association named it Logger of the Year. The main office number is 912-367-4046. This suits a landowner in Appling County who wants one local family firm to log the timber, sell it to mills, and replant the land afterward. From murrayforestry.com, read 17 October 2026.
