Guthrie Lumber Company
About Guthrie Lumber Company
Guthrie Lumber Company is a family-owned lumber yard in Cecil, Georgia, at 708 Union Street. It has served Cook County and the towns around it for 18 years. It started as a log truck company before it moved into lumber. The yard sells beams and timber, rough cut lumber, tongue and groove flooring, V-joint, log siding and mulch. Cypress is the main wood. In its own words, "Cypress wood is our specialty," and it also carries oak, pine and poplar. There is a sawmill on site, so lumber can be cut to the size a job needs. There is no minimum order requirement. It serves Cook County, Cecil, Tifton and Valdosta in Georgia, and Gainesville, Lake City, Jacksonville and Tallahassee in Florida. The phone number is (229) 794-3614, and the yard is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This suits a landowner who wants their wood milled into lumber for a building job.
