Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Clarkesville, GA

Woodstar Timber Products is a sawmill in Clarkesville, Georgia, in Habersham County. It makes custom timber packages for carports, pavilions, pool houses and post-and-beam homes, and it also builds barns, porches and other timber structures. Every beam, post and board starts in its yard in Clarkesville. The mill cuts oak, white oak, poplar, pine, hemlock and cedar. Its sawmill can produce custom beams up to 40 feet long, beyond standard lumber dimensions. Darrell has led the business since 2005. He has worked in lumber since the 1980s and has a background in architecture, so he can work from a plan. The business puts it this way: "Custom sawn. Never off the shelf." To get started, call and describe the structure, where it's going, its rough size, and whether you have drawings yet. A sketch or a photo is a fine place to start. The business works by appointment only, so call first. This suits someone planning a carport, pavilion, pool house or home who wants timber cut to their own dimensions in Northeast Georgia.
