Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Eastanollee, GA

Champion Legacy Resources LLC is a timber buying business in Eastanollee, Georgia, at 4522 Georgia 17. It buys standing timber from landowners. It also does independent logging, thinning and reforestation work, and it offers custom cedar fireplace mantels for the home. The business buys timber within about 150 miles of the point where northeast Georgia, southwest South Carolina and western North Carolina meet. Stephens County is one of the counties it serves. Its main species are oak, cherry and poplar. For harvests, it can do selective cuts, thinning and clearcuts. A selective cut takes out chosen trees and leaves the best ones standing. A thinning removes smaller, lower quality trees so the rest have room to grow. It has done both negotiated and sealed bid sales, and both per-ton and lump sum contracts. A negotiated sale means face-to-face bargaining, which the business says is used more often for high-value hardwoods. With a per-ton contract you are paid for what is actually cut. A lump sum pays a fixed amount when you sign. The business says it will cut your timber as soon as feasible, and within twelve months of signing. Its own page says "Trust is paramount." The business holds Georgia Master Timber Harvester certification. This business suits a landowner with oak, cherry or poplar who wants a buyer that will walk through both sale methods and both contract types before anything is signed.
