About Dobbs Equipment

Dobbs Equipment is an equipment dealer in Grovetown, Georgia, at 1900 William Few Parkway. It sells, rents, finances and services John Deere and Wirtgen Group machines. It does not buy timber or do logging, so if you want someone to cut and haul your trees, look elsewhere. The business calls itself a "full-service John Deere and Wirtgen Group dealership," with 29 locations across Florida, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. The Grovetown location serves Columbia County. For forestry work, it lists John Deere forwarders, skidders, wheeled and tracked harvesters, feller bunchers and knuckleboom loaders, along with Waratah harvester heads. You can buy or finance a machine, or rent one for a single job, and some rent payments can go toward buying it later. Repairs are done by what it calls "John Deere-certified technicians," using genuine John Deere OEM parts. Road technicians can come to a job site for emergency repairs. The site also notes that tracked harvesters give better traction on steep ground and in areas hit hard by rain, and that its team will help you choose between wheeled and tracked models. This suits a landowner or operator who already runs, or plans to run, their own forestry machines and needs to buy, rent or repair them. It does not suit someone looking for a buyer for standing timber. From dobbsequipment.com, read 17 October 2026.
