Dobbs Equipment
About Dobbs Equipment
Dobbs Equipment is a John Deere and Wirtgen Group equipment dealer with a branch at 6601 Skipper Road in Macon, Georgia. It sells, rents, finances and services construction and forestry machines. It does not buy timber or do logging, so it will not buy your standing trees or cut them for you. The forestry line covers John Deere forwarders, skidders, swing machines, harvesters and feller bunchers, along with Waratah harvester heads. You can buy and finance a machine, or rent one for a single job, and the rental can be partly applied toward purchase. The business also carries a Georgia Master Timber Harvester certification and employs John Deere-certified technicians. Repairs go through those technicians, who use "genuine John Deere OEM parts." They can also come to a job site for emergency repairs. The business has 29 locations across Florida, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina, and its Macon branch serves Bibb County. This suits a landowner who needs a machine or its repair, not one who wants to sell timber. From dobbsequipment.com, read 17 October 2026.
