Interfor
About Interfor
Interfor is a sawmill listed in Perry, Georgia, in Houston County. Its own pages place the Monticello Division mill at 211 Old Troy Road, Monticello, Arkansas, on a 137-acre site acquired in June 2015 and extensively rebuilt starting in 2018. The mill cuts 10-foot and shorter 2"x4", 2"x6", and 4"x4" lumber, shipped by rail and truck to domestic markets, including Texas and the US Midwest. The register lists yellow pine as its species. The work described is milling logs into lumber, so a landowner looking for a logger or a timber buyer should understand this is a mill, not a crew that works the woods. Its customer promise is to deliver quality products "on spec and on time." Its sustainability pages also say that in US operations Interfor works with landowners and other log suppliers through SFI Fiber-Sourcing certification. This suits a landowner who wants to know where dimension lumber of these sizes is made, or who has logs to move to a mill, rather than one who needs someone to cut and haul a stand.
