Interfor
About Interfor
Interfor is a sawmill listed in Preston, Georgia, in Webster County, and its listed species is yellow pine. The mill its own pages describe is at 211 Old Troy Road, Monticello, Arkansas, so confirm which mill you would be dealing with before you plan a sale. The Arkansas mill sits on a 137-acre site bought in June 2015 from the Price Companies. Starting in 2018 it was extensively rebuilt, with new log bucking and primary breakdown lines and a planer autograder. It cuts 10-foot and shorter 2x4, 2x6 and 4x4 lumber and ships it by rail and truck to domestic markets, including Texas and the US Midwest. Interfor says its lumber manufacturing operations are certified to the SFI Fiber Sourcing and Chain-of-Custody standards. Its own pages describe a lumber mill and the products it ships. They don't describe buying standing timber or running a logging crew, and the company's listing also names timber buying, so ask directly what it will take from a landowner. This suits a landowner who wants to sell logs to a sawmill and is willing to check the Arkansas location first, not someone looking for a local timber buyer or logging crew in Webster County.
