Pallet Factory, The
About Pallet Factory, The
Pallet Factory, The is a pallet maker and sawmill at 128 Farrar Street in Shady Dale, Georgia, in Jasper County. It makes new pallets in almost any size, repairs and recycles used ones, and heat treats wood for export shipments. The sawmills in Shady Dale cut their own logs and make lumber in-house. The wood comes from managed timberlands in North Georgia. The species it works with are yellow pine, red oak, white oak, sweetgum, yellow-poplar, hickory, ash and soft maple. Its heat treatment is ISPM-15 certified, the standard most international shipments require for wood pallets. The company describes itself as an American Veteran Owned small business and calls itself a "locally owned business." It runs more than 60 tractor-trailers, both flatbed and van, so it delivers its own pallets across metro Atlanta and parts of North Georgia. It suits a Jasper County landowner who wants to know what the local sawmill makes and where its wood comes from. From atlantapallets.com, read 17 October 2026.
