Interfor
About Interfor
Interfor is a sawmill in Swainsboro, Georgia, in Emanuel County, and it cuts yellow pine. It is listed as a mill. It does not work with landowners on timber sales, so if you are looking for a buyer for your standing pine, this is not the place to start. Interfor's Monticello division in Arkansas sits on a 137-acre site bought in June 2015 from the Price Companies and was extensively rebuilt from 2018. That mill makes 10-foot and shorter 2"x4", 2"x6" and 4"x4" lumber, shipped by rail and truck to domestic markets, including Texas and the US Midwest. The company's promise is to deliver quality products "on spec and on time." It operates 28 facilities across North America. This suits a landowner who wants to learn about a large sawmill operator, not one who needs someone to buy standing pine or cut the tract. From interfor.com, read 3 October 2026.
