About KS Harvesters Inc

KS Harvesters Inc is a timber buying and logging firm in Vidalia, Georgia, with its office on Buckhorn Creek Road. Its listed county is Toombs. It also does independent logging, land clearing and forestry consulting, so one firm can take a job from the first walk-through through to the mill. The work starts with the timber. The company contacts local forest owners and asks permission to inventory the type, amount and location of standing timber on the property. Its foresters then appraise what the timber is worth, negotiate the purchase and draw up the contract. KS Harvesters also subcontracts loggers or pulpwood cutters for tree removal and road layout. Its harvesting covers complete tree harvesting, clearing, clear cutting and thinning, and its own fleet of trucks hauls wood to specific mills. Foresters and crew foremen hold the Master Timber Harvester's Certification. The company employs on-site mechanical engineers and keeps a fully stocked shop. It also writes short and long term management plans for forest land and gives advice to private woodlot owners. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at (912) 537-0566. This suits a landowner in Toombs who wants a forester's inventory, a purchase contract drawn up by that same forester, and the cutting and hauling handled by one firm.
