Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Amboy, IN

TM Forestry, LLC is a logging company in Amboy, Indiana, near Peru. Tim Middlekauff runs it as a timber buyer, logger, and timber stand advisor, working mostly in Miami County. The work starts with a walk through your timber stand. Tim meets you on your land, looks at what's standing, and talks through which trees should come out for sale and which should stay to improve the stand over time. He also handles timber stand advising on its own, pointing out trees that are diseased, of no value, or better left for a later, more profitable harvest. The company cuts the logs to size, scales them to set price and size, and marks longer logs for cutting. Tim does his own work from timber selection to loading the last log, with experienced cutters, a skidder-loader operator, and truckers working alongside him rather than hired through a third party. TM Forestry describes itself as a "small logging company" by design, built on 20 years of Tim's experience in the sawmill and timber industry before he started the business in 2018. The company takes on sustainable growth harvests, timber work tied to improving hunting ground, or land being cleared toward tillable ground. This fits a landowner in or near Miami County who wants the same person meeting them on the property, cutting the trees, and loading the trucks, rather than work passed between different outfits.
