Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Bowling Green, IN

Pike Lumber Company, Inc. is a consulting forester in Akron, Indiana. It has a Google Maps business listing in that category. It is also listed as a timber buyer, a logging contractor and a mill. A consulting forester works for the landowner, not the buyer. A listing here is not an endorsement.

Sugar Ridge Timber Inc buys standing timber and runs the logging crew themselves, out of Clay City, Indiana. They've been at it over 20 years, serving Clay City and the surrounding areas, and they were named 2004 Indiana Logger of the Year. Their work covers timber purchasing, timber harvesting, forest management, timber procurement, complete logging, and other landowner services. They say they'll handle it start to finish: "counting and pricing your trees to scheduling and carrying out the harvest," and they'll help with marketing the sale too. They're fully licensed to buy timber in both Indiana and Illinois, and say their loggers are "licensed, bonded, and insured." No stated minimum acreage, but they say they'll "work with almost any landowner within 80 miles of Clay City, Indiana," which is how they describe their service area too. This fits a landowner near Clay City or within that 80-mile stretch who wants one outfit to buy the timber and cut it, rather than hiring a separate consultant to represent them against the buyer.
