Hovland Lumber

About Hovland Lumber

Hovland Lumber is a wood mill in Mora, Minnesota, in Kanabec County. The business now trades as H&H Lumber, and it describes itself as a family business founded over 52 years ago. It mills its hardwood in house, handling kiln drying, planing, molding, end matching and sanding before the wood leaves the shop. The company calls this "milled in-house." Its main products are white oak and other hardwood tongue and groove paneling, hardwood flooring, crown molding, full home or office trim packages, custom profiles and dimensional lumber. It also builds decorative box beams, which are hollow beams of solid hardwood used to cover structural members or to give a room the look of large timbers. It sells to builders, contractors, designers and homeowners, and says it delivers across Minnesota, the Midwest and beyond. It suits a homeowner or builder who wants finished hardwood for a house. A landowner who wants to sell standing timber or logs will need a different kind of business. From hhlumbermn.com, read 8 October 2026.
