Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Aldrich, MO

West Logging is a family business out of Fair Play, Missouri, buying standing timber and running logging jobs for landowners. They've been at it for three generations and over 60 years, working across Missouri and five neighboring states: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Iowa, and Illinois. Their main interest is walnut and oak, but they also take on white oak, black oak, ash, cherry, sycamore, and soft maple. The work covers contract logging, felling, timber cruising, forest management, and full log and timber sales. For a standing-timber sale, they describe the process as evaluation first, then marketing to buyers, then cutting, hauling, and payment. They offer a free timber evaluation before anything is agreed to, and say "you'll always know the true value of your timber before a sale." They list themselves as PTH certified and fully insured. If you have a woodlot of 10 acres or more, that's their stated starting point for forest management work, including harvesting, inventory, valuation, and a management plan. They're listed as serving Polk County. This fits a landowner with a mixed hardwood woodlot, walnut or oak especially, who wants one outfit to handle the whole sale from evaluation through to payment rather than piecing it together themselves.
