Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Odessa, NY

Wagner Hardwoods is a sawmill business based in Cayuta, New York. It also buys timber and offers forestry consulting, and it is a member of the Baillie Group. It runs sawmills at three New York locations: Owego, Cayuta, and Davenport. The company buys logs and standing timber, provides forest management, timber appraisal, and log purchasing, and turns the logs it buys into hardwood lumber. In its own words, "Wagner Hardwoods purchases logs and provides lumber for the top species of hardwoods." It also states, "Wagner is one of the largest consumers of hardwood logs in the Northeastern U.S., utilizing 60 MMBF of logs annually." It sources hardwood logs and standing timber across most of New York and Pennsylvania, and is named here as serving Schuyler County. This suits a landowner in New York or Pennsylvania who wants to deal directly with a mill that buys logs and standing timber itself, and who also wants an appraisal or forest management advice alongside the sale, rather than hiring a separate logger and buyer.
