About Basaga International LLC

Basaga International LLC is based in Wilmington, North Carolina. It's a producer, supplier, importer, and exporter of wood chips, logs, veneer logs, plywood, and MDF, so it sits more on the processing and trading side of wood than the land-buying side. Logs handled include white spruce, walnut, white oak, and red oak, with veneer logs in walnut, white oak, and red oak too. Wood chips are made "based on customer's specifications," hard or soft wood, and plywood comes in all sizes along with MDF. On the equipment side, they describe "in-wood chipping" where a Morbark machine debarks and chips logs and blows the chips straight into a chip van for transport, backed by a Volvo stacker and debarker/chipper setup that can move 250 tons of wood an hour. Besides Wilmington, they operate out of port locations in Morehead City, NC and Mobile, AL, with another office in Turkey. For landowners here, the listing covers New Hanover County. Basaga International holds FSC Chain of Custody certification. This outfit suits someone already thinking about chip, log, or veneer volume and wanting a buyer or processor in the supply chain, rather than a landowner who needs someone to walk their 20 acres and explain how a first timber sale works.
