Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Belpre, OH

Natco Forestry Services is a forestry consulting business in Belpre, Ohio. They help landowners sell the timber on their property, "marketing the timber in a fashion that suits the landowner's needs in managing the sale from start to finish." They say they'll make sure landowners get full value and that the timber comes off safely, without unnecessary harm to the land. Beyond timber sales, Natco handles management plans, appraisals, pre-commercial thinning, grapevine removal, tree planting, and wildlife management. They also look at non-timber resources like mushrooms and wild herbs if that matters to your land. One specialty worth knowing about: timber appraisals on land disturbed by oil and gas wells or pipeline right-of-ways, which is handy if that's part of your situation. They mention cost share incentives that can help pay for a management plan, and they're set up to produce NRCS, West Virginia Forest Stewardship, and Ohio CAUV plans, which can tie into a lower tax rate on your land. William "Nat" Sistrunk runs the operation and holds WV Registered Forester #389. The business describes itself as "extremely versatile in our services." They serve Washington County, Ohio. This one suits a landowner who wants a single contact person to carry a timber sale from marketing through removal, especially if there's an oil, gas, or pipeline wrinkle on the property, or if a written management plan with possible tax benefits is part of the goal.
