Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Imler, PA

Fritz Logging, also known as Russell E. Fritz Logging, Inc, is a logging company based in Bedford, Pennsylvania. It works in Bedford County and takes on timber harvests for landowners who want to sell. The company does selective harvesting with low impact, cut-to-length equipment. They cut trees to length at the stump and carry them to roadside with a forwarder, which they say causes less damage and leaves the woodlot healthier than conventional logging. Their own words put it plainly: "WE CAN SELECTIVELY HARVEST TIMBER WITH LOW IMPACT LOGGING EQUIPMENT, AND LEAVE THE RESIDUAL TREES AND SOIL UNHARMED." A forester with the company will appraise your woodlot first. They pay "competitive prices upfront" before the job starts, so you know what you're getting before any cutting begins. Beyond harvesting, they also buy timber and offer forestry consulting. This fits a Bedford County landowner who wants a local outfit that appraises the timber and settles on a price before a single tree comes down, and who cares about keeping the rest of the woodlot standing and the soil intact after the crew leaves.
