About South Carolina Timber Co, Inc

South Carolina Timber Co, Inc is a forestry business in Hampton, South Carolina. Its main trade is consulting forestry, and it also does logging. It was founded in 1984 by Harry Lee Foy and Harry Lee "Bubba" Foy, Jr. The services it lists are timber harvesting, timber marketing, timber cruising, reforestation, prescribed burning, and forest management planning. It says it sells harvested timber to local sawmills, pulp mills, pole yards, and engineered wood product facilities, and that it watches changing markets to "maximize dollars for the landowner." For timber cruising, it uses a GPS system it recently bought to measure acres and estimate standing timber value, along with four decades of cruising experience. Its loggers hold South Carolina Forestry Association training certification and follow local, state, and national harvesting guidelines. For reforestation, it offers to manage the job from start to finish, working with nurseries, herbicide applicators, and tree planters. The team includes Hank Foy, Bubba Foy, and Tucker Swofford, who holds a degree in Forest Management Technology from Horry Georgetown Technical College. Hampton is the county they list as the area they serve. This business suits a landowner in Hampton who wants one firm to handle the planning, the cutting, and the replanting.
