Log Creek Timber Co.
About Log Creek Timber Co.
Log Creek Timber Co. is a timber buying and logging business in Johnston, South Carolina. It also does forestry consulting and forestland management. The office is at 34 Hilltop Drive, and the company serves Edgefield County. The company started in the early 1980s harvesting timber for others, and it is still a family business. Its services include release spraying, prescribed fire, detailed stand mapping and aerial mapping. Its logging crews are TOP (Timber Operations Professional) Logger Certified, and the company has been FSC certified since 2017. A staff member prepares a plan for your property, with an estimate of what your stands are worth and aerial mapping. The contract covers payment and the details of the harvest, including road access, loading decks and protected areas like stream corridors. The company describes its approach as "no pressure to sell or to perform a specific type of harvest." The finished job is inspected before the harvest crew leaves. Log Creek Timber Co. suits a landowner who wants one firm to plan the sale, cut the timber, and then handle work afterward, such as release spraying or a controlled burn.
