About East Texas Tree Doc, LLC

East Texas Tree Doc, LLC is a tree care firm based in Longview, Texas. It works on the trees already standing on a property, with consultations, risk analysis, disease and pest treatment, root feeding, bracing and cabling, tree injections, crape myrtle care, and protection for trees during construction. This is tree health work, not timber buying, logging or harvesting, so a landowner who wants to sell standing timber will need a different kind of buyer. The arborist named on the site is Joshua Leonard, an ISA Certified Arborist who is also Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ). The firm holds a Licensed Pesticide Applicator certification, says it is fully insured, and states over 10 years of hands-on arborist work. Its service area is Longview and the East Texas Piney Woods, with towns named including Tyler, Marshall, Jefferson, Gilmer and Ore City, and counties including Anderson, Cass, Harrison, Smith, Harris and Galveston. A visit to your land is a paid on-site consultation at $150, and a video consult is $49. When a job can be priced from your description without a visit, the firm sends a free estimate. After a consult you get a written summary with photos, risk ratings and next steps. As the firm puts it, "We never upsell unnecessary removals." It suits a landowner who wants a clear written read on the health and safety of the trees on the place, not one who wants to sell timber. From easttexastreedoc.com, read 18 October 2026.
