About Scherz Landscape Company
Scherz Landscape Company is a landscape design firm and plant nursery in San Angelo, Texas. Phillip Scherz founded it in 1927, and it has operated from its Knickerbocker Road location since 1964. The firm describes itself as "as well-rooted in the Texas soil as the nursery stock we grow and sell." Its work is yard and garden work: landscape design and installation, lawn care and maintenance, sprinkler installation, ponds, fountains, patio furniture, and a year-round retail nursery. It offers free consultations and free estimates, and says it can work with any size job and budget. A customer can take the plan and plant it themselves, or hire the firm's landscape crew to do the installing. The service area is San Angelo and the surrounding area within a 150-mile radius. The counties it serves are Coke, Coleman, Concho, Crane, Crockett, Ector, Edwards, Glasscock, Howard, Irion, Kimble, Llano, Martin, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Midland, Mitchell, Nolan, Pecos, Reagan, Schleicher, Sterling, Sutton, Terrell, Tom Green, Upton, and Val Verde. Its credentials are an ISA Certified Arborist, a Licensed Pesticide Applicator, and Texas Oak Wilt Qualified through Texas ISA. Its work centers on the home and yard rather than timber, so this suits a landowner who wants plantings, lawn care, or irrigation looked after at a home place, not someone looking to sell standing timber.
