Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Catawba, WI

Biewer Wisconsin Sawmill Inc. is a sawmill in Prentice, Wisconsin, and it also does forestry consulting for landowners. It's part of the Biewer Lumber family of companies, which began in 1983 with a sawmill in McBain, Michigan, and the business works in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Mississippi. For a landowner, the forestry side covers the whole process: writing an individual management plan, marking timber, identifying cutting boundaries, and managing everything from sale set-up through harvest. Their foresters have over 65 years of combined experience between them. The sawmill side runs on SPF and SYP species. Biewer says logging crews are trained in Best Management Practices "to protect soil, water, and wildlife," and the company describes its approach as "we work with you, not just for you." Biewer Wisconsin Sawmill Inc. serves Price County. This fits a landowner in Price County who wants one business to handle the whole sale from plan to harvest, rather than lining up a separate consultant, logger, and mill.
