Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Shiocton, WI

Granite Valley Forest Products is a sawmill based in New London, Wisconsin, that also does forestry consulting and buys timber. They work with landowners from first contact through to harvest, handling forest management plans, timber harvesting, and timber sales. Their species is northern hardwoods. The process starts with a call to set up a property visit, where one of their forest managers walks your land, asks about your goals, and talks through which species might be harvested. They offer this first visit free. From there they help build a forest management plan and can carry it through to the actual harvest and sale of timber. They describe their approach as managing your forest "with care and respect, as if it was our own." They serve wooded land in Wisconsin, Southeastern Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Upper Michigan, with work in the directory tied to Outagamie County. Granite Valley also runs its own hardwood facilities, including AAA Hardwoods and Rockbridge Sawmill, and notes an FSC trademark license, which points to some chain-of-custody certification tied to their wood. This fits a landowner who wants one outfit to walk the property, plan the harvest, and buy the timber, rather than hiring a separate consulting forester and a separate mill.
