MW Forestry & Real Estate is a forestry consulting and timber buying business out of Wausau, Wisconsin, working the Rhinelander and Wausau area in Central Wisconsin, with work found in Marathon County. They offer timber appraisals and timber sale services, plus forest management, forest inventory, boundary line establishment and maintenance, property mapping, harvest scheduling, wildlife habitat services, and MFL plans. For a sale, they run "an intense timber cruise to identify tree species and volumes by species with an up to date market analysis," then prepare, sell, and contract the harvest laid out in your forest management plan. They say their appraisals aim "to receive the highest possible price for the timber being offered for sale." They've worked with forested properties in Wisconsin for over 15 years. Their real estate focus runs on parcels from 10 acres up to 100,000+ acres, so 10 acres looks to be the floor for that side of the business. This fits a landowner in the Marathon County area who wants one outfit to handle the whole arc of a timber sale, from cruising the stand to lining up the harvest, and who might also want wildlife habitat work or an MFL plan done alongside it.
