About Southern Sawmill & Lumber Co.
Southern Sawmill & Lumber Co. is a sawmill in Ozark, Arkansas, on State Hwy 96. They work in cedar, cutting it to order rather than keeping a fixed stock of sizes. What they sell gives a sense of the scale of the work: cedar slabs cut in different widths and lengths, scrap cedar slabs sold by the trailer load, and cedar posts in a couple of set sizes. Since "all cuts made upon order," if you've got cedar on your land, you could bring them a log or a trailer load and have it cut to the dimensions you need rather than picking from a shelf. There's no stated minimum tract size. Going by the smallest items they list, this looks like a mill set up for smaller amounts of cedar, not large standing timber sales. They serve Franklin County, Arkansas. This one fits a landowner with cedar trees, maybe just a handful, who wants boards or posts cut to order rather than someone looking to sell a big timber tract.
