Willits Redwood Co
About Willits Redwood Co
Willits Redwood Co is a sawmill in Willits, Mendocino County, California. They work in redwood, turning out dimensional lumber, custom timbers, and remanufactured, kiln-dried stock, with timbers up to 36 feet long. This isn't a business that buys standing timber off your land or sends a crew out to log it. They're a mill, working from logs they select themselves through what they call a "rigorous log selection process." They run two facilities now, producing a range of sizes and grades for buyers both large and small. The company started in the 1970s as a traveling bandmill, built by two foresters, and has been "standing strong like a redwood" since 1978. They serve Mendocino County. This one's worth a call if you're looking for someone to mill redwood lumber or custom timbers rather than someone to come appraise or harvest your stand. If you're a landowner trying to sell standing timber, this isn't that kind of operation, at least not based on what they show here. From willitsredwood.com, read 4 October 2026.
