About Terrific Timbers LLC
Terrific Timbers LLC is a portable sawmill service out of Mystic, Connecticut. Instead of you hauling logs to a mill, the mill comes to you. As they put it, "I bring a sawmill and saw your logs into your lumber at your property." You handle getting the logs ready and dealing with the lumber afterward; they saw it into boards, beams, or natural edge slabs, and leave you with the boards, scraps, and sawdust. They work with home, land and estate owners, woodworkers, hobbyists, municipalities, nonprofits, contractors, farmers, timber framers, architects, developers, and other sawmills. Both large and small jobs are welcome, so there's no stated minimum to worry about. They serve Connecticut locations only, and have been serving Connecticut since 2007. They're insured and belong to the Wood-Mizer Million Board Foot Club and Pro-Sawyer Network. Sawing runs Monday through Saturday, year-round, though they may reschedule if it's too hot or raining. This suits a Connecticut landowner who already has logs down and just wants them turned into usable lumber on site, without trucking anything anywhere. From terrifictimbers.com, read 10 October 2026.
