About Trunkworks Portable Sawmill, LLC
Trunkworks Portable Sawmill, LLC is a family-owned sawmill business out of Waterford, Connecticut. They bring a portable sawmill right to your property and turn your logs into rough cut lumber on the spot, so you don't have to haul anything anywhere. The work covers three things: portable sawmilling, selling rough cut lumber they have on hand, and storm cleanup, where they come mill and remove a fallen tree that's become a mess in your yard. They are clear about one limit: "We are not arborists or a landscaping service and will not take down standing trees, downed trees only." So this is for logs already on the ground, whether from a storm or a tree you just cut, not for felling work. They say they are fully insured. They service all Connecticut counties, and are based in New London County. If you've got a log or two from a tree that came down, or you're picturing a backyard project like a rustic table and need rough cut boards, this is the kind of outfit to call. They offer a "free, no obligation consultation" if you want to talk it through first. This fits a small landowner with a downed tree or two, not someone planning a standing timber sale or looking for a forester to mark and sell timber across many acres.
