The company says it was founded in 1998 by Mark Milligan, under the earlier name LandMark Systems, describes itself as “Leaders in Natural Resource Management and Analytics Since 1998,” and publishes a staff of 15 professionals averaging 20 years of experience: foresters, ecologists, wildlife biologists and analysts. On the land management side it states it handles forest inventory, timber sales — acting as fiduciary in sale administration, with load and scale ticket management, payments and timber-theft tracking — site preparation, reforestation, silviculture, prescribed burning, ecological restoration in longleaf pine and wiregrass communities, and invasive and exotic species control, and says it applies these “regardless of ownership type, project size, or project complexity.” Its technical side offers forest, landcover and habitat mapping, inventory cruise design and analysis, growth and yield modelling, forest management planning, advanced GIS and remote sensing including LiDAR, FAA-licensed drone data acquisition, and its own SilvAssist forest inventory software, and the firm states it is an Esri Silver-Level Business Partner. The client types it names are the Department of Defense, state government, private landowners, utilities, non-profit organizations, timberland investment organizations and the U.S. Forest Service, and a related real estate arm trades as the F4 Land Investment Group of Tarpon Blue Realty Services, Inc.
