Salter Land & Timber LLC: Georgia Timber Buyer
About Salter Land & Timber LLC: Georgia Timber Buyer
Salter Land & Timber LLC: Georgia Timber Buyer is a timber buying business in Waynesboro, Georgia. It buys standing hardwood and pine from landowners, then sells the timber to mills. Its home page says it buys timber across all of Georgia. The pine it names is loblolly, longleaf, slash and shortleaf. The hardwoods include oak, hickory, poplar, cherry and maple. Phil Salter started the business in 2010. He has been in the timber industry for over 45 years, following his father into the trade. The company lists his credential as "qualified master timber harvester." It says it works directly with landowners to manage the sale and takes time to understand each owner's needs first. The mills it names as buyers are International Paper in Augusta and Savannah, Battle Lumber Company in Wadley, Howard Lumber in Statesboro, West Fraser, and Lamb Brothers Lumber in Wrens. The office is at 824 Porter Carswell Rd, Waynesboro, and the phone number is (706) 551-0326. This suits a landowner who wants standing hardwood or pine sold and would rather have one buyer handle the sale to the mill. From salterlandtimberllc.com, read 17 October 2026.
