Empire Lumber Co
About Empire Lumber Co
Empire Lumber Co is a sawmill business in Weippe, Idaho, in business since 1956. It is a mill, not a timber buyer and not a logging crew. The work here is manufacturing wood products at mills located in the scenic Clearwater Valley and on the Camas Prairie, and it serves Clearwater County. What happens at Empire Lumber Co covers the full chain of turning logs into finished lumber: resource management, sawmill manufacturing and drying, planing, and packaging and shipping, along with mill sales and service. The mill works with inland softwood species, producing everything from construction grade boards and dimension lumber to custom paneling, siding, and moulding. It calls itself "Stewards of the Forest Since 1956" and describes its products as "Beautiful, Durable and Renewable." This fits a landowner who already has logs to sell or wants lumber manufactured from Idaho inland softwood, rather than someone looking for help marking timber, finding a logger, or getting a standing-timber sale set up. If your need is a mill that takes logs and turns them into usable wood products, Empire Lumber Co is built for that end of the process. From empirelumber.com, read 4 October 2026.
