About VTV Sawmill
VTV Sawmill is a sawmill and woodworking shop in Greentown, Indiana. It saws logs into lumber and also builds finished pieces from the wood. The work started on a family tree farm, where Vance and his dad began cutting down ash trees that had already died. After buying a Wood-Mizer sawmill in 2018, Vance and his wife set out to build "the bigger dreams he had always envisioned," cutting their own wood for flooring, cabinets, and trim at home. Vance passed away in 2021, and his wife now runs the sawmill and the woodshop, saying "I am now running the sawmill and working in the woodshop." VTV Sawmill works with ash and is based in Greentown, with Howard County named among the areas it serves. This suits a landowner near Greentown with ash on the property who wants it sawn into lumber, or even worked into something for the house, by a small operation built on a family's own tree farm.
