Wyco Wood Co.

About Wyco Wood Co.

Wyco Wood Co. is a sawmill and timber-buying outfit based in Kansas City, Kansas. They don't ask you to haul logs anywhere. As they put it, "we bring one of our two sawmills to your location and mill up your logs to your exact specifications." They're family-owned and veteran-owned. What they work with is oak, walnut, cherry, and aromatic red cedar. Services cover mobile saw milling, kiln drying lumber, lumber sales, large log removal, and cutting dunnage, blocking, and wedges for shipping. Their process is straightforward: they bring their equipment to you, cut the tree the way you want it, and hand you workable material for your project. They offer a free consultation before anything starts. The area they serve is the Kansas City Metro, including Lawrence, Olathe, Liberty, Smithville, and Platte City. For landowners checking the map, they're also found listed in Atchison County, Kansas, with Leavenworth County named among the counties they serve. There's no stated minimum acreage or job size on their pages, so there's nothing to go on there beyond knowing they work directly with individual logs and trees rather than large tracts. This fits a landowner in the Kansas City area with a handful of good oak, walnut, cherry, or cedar trees who wants someone to mill those specific logs on site rather than sell standing timber in bulk.
