Hershberger Logging

About Hershberger Logging

Hershberger Logging is a logging and timber buying business based in Kansas. If you own acreage of standing timber, "especially near a river or creek bottom," they say they can help with your logging needs. They offer select cut for thinning out mature trees, clear cut for a full harvest or land clearing, and brush piling, so you're not left with debris piles once the job is done. They buy hardwoods and softwoods. A sale starts with a free on-site estimate, where they come out to look at your timber and give you a transparent quote, then offer flexible buying options so you can pick the path that works for you. Hershberger Logging covers Nowata, Washington, Ottawa and Craig Counties in Oklahoma, and Montgomery, Labette, and Cherokee Counties in Kansas. It's a family-owned, 2nd-generation operation with 12 years of hands-on experience. They point out that "we pile the brush," which keeps the ground accessible and cuts down on fire hazard after the trucks pull out. This fits a landowner in one of those counties, especially near a river or creek bottom, who wants both select and clear cut options with cleanup built in rather than a cut-and-run job.
