Glasscock Log & Lumber, Inc.

About Glasscock Log & Lumber, Inc.

Glasscock Log & Lumber, Inc. is a sawmill in Bloomfield, Kentucky. They run two sawmills, a band resaw, and a mulch machine, and they buy standing cedar timber and logs delivered to their yard in Bloomfield. The Glasscocks opened the business more than 30 years ago, starting with one sawmill and one employee, and have grown to 12 employees. Their focus is aromatic red cedar. They cut cedar lumber and cedar cants, and they're "one of the largest producers of aromatic red cedar lumber" in the country, shipping cants to buyers around the world, including customers in Asia. They also make cedar and hardwood mulch, in both retail and wholesale amounts. They say they're "known world wide as one of the leading export suppliers of red cedar cants." They serve Nelson County, and they've also named Spencer County as part of where they're known. If you have standing cedar timber or logs to sell, this is who to call rather than a mill wanting mixed hardwood sawtimber. There's no stated minimum acreage or tract size here. This fits a landowner with aromatic red cedar on the property, in or near Nelson or Spencer County, who wants to sell logs or standing cedar rather than run a full timber sale across many species.
