About BayouSumCypress
BayouSumCypress is a sawmill in Winnfield, Louisiana, in Winn Parish. It mills cypress, Southern yellow pine, and domestic hardwoods and supplies the lumber for construction, flooring, and custom woodworking projects. The business calls itself "Heart of the timber belt" and says it has more than 30 years of milling behind it. Louisiana cypress is their signature wood. They say it is naturally rot-resistant, so they point it at siding and decking. Southern yellow pine goes to framing and structural work, and the hardwoods suit cabinetry, flooring, and fine furniture. They also cut oversized beams, matched grains, and specific treatments to order. Every board is graded, and they say they hold tight control over moisture content and dimensions. They speak mostly to builders, contractors, and craftspeople who order lumber for their own work. BayouSumCypress suits a builder, contractor, or woodworker who needs milled cypress, pine, or hardwood for a particular job. From bayousumcypress.net, read 18 October 2026.
