Walsh Timber Co
About Walsh Timber Co
Walsh Timber Co is a logging and timber-buying business in Zwolle, Louisiana, and has operated since 1984. Its work covers timber procurement, marketing, wood supply and forest products harvesting across West Louisiana and East Texas. Logging is its main trade. Its 35-plus contract harvesting crews cut and deliver over 2.5 million tons of forest products in a year. Many of those crews cut timber for "private forest landowners of every size." About a third of its wood is bought on the local open market as standing timber, then sold as delivered gatewood to wood and log facilities in the region. It has offices in Zwolle and Rosepine, Louisiana, and in Tenaha, Livingston and Lufkin, Texas. Of its 30 employees, 11 are degreed professional foresters. The Zwolle office is at 500 Oosta Road. This suits a landowner who wants a logging and timber-buying firm with foresters on staff and offices on both sides of the state line. From walshtimber.com, read 18 October 2026.
