Wade Logging

About Wade Logging

Wade Logging is a family-owned logging and timber-buying business in Fife Lake, Michigan, with over 30 years in tree services. They buy standing timber and also handle tree care and land clearing, serving Traverse City, Cadillac, Kalkaska, and the surrounding area. On the timber side, they buy hardwood, softwood, and red pines, and offer a free consultation before any harvest. Their own words put it plainly: "Wade Logging is looking for an extensive range of standing timber." They say they walk you through the stand, answer your questions, and give straightforward guidance on price before anything is cut. Their crews also do select cutting, land and lot clearing, stump removal, and firewood sales, plus general tree care like pruning, cabling, and emergency tree work. Their certified arborists are named as part of the team. There's no stated minimum acreage. They describe themselves as ready to evaluate "whether you own a small wooded parcel or a large tract of land," so they appear open to small lots as well as bigger tracts. This fits a landowner in or near Kalkaska County who wants one local outfit to look at standing timber and also handle any tree work or clearing that comes with the job, rather than hiring separate contractors for each piece.
