About Miller Logging Inc

Miller Logging Inc is a family owned logging business in Harrison, Michigan. They say they "offer a wide range of services pertaining to the logging industry," and that covers a lot of ground: forest management, timber harvesting, road construction, land clearing, timber stand improvement, consulting, storm damage cleanup, tree health assessments, lot clearing, and crop tree management. They buy standing timber outright, select cut or clear cut, in oak (red, white, and black), pine (red, white, and jack), hard or soft maple, ash, aspen, cherry, and beech. When you reach out, they ask for your county, section, acreage, the types of trees on the property, and whether you're looking at timber stand improvement. On how a sale comes together, they say they "strive to listen carefully to your concerns and discuss a management plan that will best address those concerns," and they'll help sort out protected zones around streams and wetlands as part of that. Work is currently focused on Clare, Gladwin, Isabella, Midland, and Osceola Counties. The crew is SFI trained for managing timber as a renewable resource, and they note that safety is their top priority on site given how dangerous logging work can be. This fits a landowner in that Michigan stretch who wants one outfit that can buy the timber, run the harvest, and talk through a management plan rather than juggling separate buyers and loggers.
