About DMB Timber
DMB Timber is a logging and land clearing business run out of Waldron, Michigan, serving landowners in Hillsdale County as well as Dundee, Tecumseh, and Clinton. It's a husband-and-wife operation, Derek and Kortnie Boyd, with 25 years of hands-on experience, and they say the owners are on-site for every job from start to finish. The work covers timber harvesting, both selective cuts and clear cuts, along with complete land clearing, forestry mulching, trail and road creation, brush and stump removal, and firewood supply. Species they handle include Walnut, White Oak, Red Oak, Burr Oak, and Hickory. They describe their purpose plainly: "When your property needs room to grow, land management services from DMB Timber make it happen safely and efficiently." They list themselves as fully licensed and insured, and offer a free site evaluation and quote before any work starts. There's no stated minimum acreage. They say they work "from small acreage to large tracts," so it sounds like they'll look at smaller parcels as well as bigger ones, though they don't name a specific size they've done. This fits a landowner in Hillsdale County or nearby who wants an owner-run crew involved in the job personally, rather than a bigger outfit, and who's interested in more than just a one-time harvest, since they also mention land clearing and trail work.
