About D&D Ventures Inc
D&D Ventures Inc is a family owned mill in Grove City, Minnesota, in Central Minnesota. It has been in business since 2005 and makes large flake wood shavings for livestock bedding at its own shavings mill, which runs five days a week. It also sells sunflower hulls and blended loads of the two. Dale Hoerchler founded the business, and Dylan Hoerchler is president and CEO. The shavings are kiln dried at the plant and go through a dual fine sawdust screening process to keep dust down. The wood comes from Minnesota woods through in-state logging companies. Delivery runs from the Grove City site to the five state area, with walking floor trailers carrying 160 yards per load or belt trailers carrying 80 yards. Trucks are sanitized and disinfected before moving to each new farm. On-site pick up is also available. The business has focused on poultry and is looking to serve dairy, horses, hogs and pets as well. In their own words, the company works to find "the perfect blend of shavings and sunflowers hulls." It suits a livestock farmer in Central Minnesota who needs bulk bedding brought in. A landowner who wants to sell standing timber will want to look at a logger or timber buyer instead, since D&D Ventures is a mill that sells bedding. From ddventuresinc.net, read 3 November 2026.
