Louis Nursery & Sawmill
About Louis Nursery & Sawmill
Louis Nursery & Sawmill is a business in Paynesville, Minnesota, at 16615 Hillside Court. It started in a backyard outside Paynesville and added a second location on the south side of Lake Koronis in the 1990s. The owners describe it as "independently owned and operated." Most of the work is nursery work. Louis Nursery & Sawmill specializes in trees and shrubs, sold both retail and wholesale. The sawmill side is custom sawing, which was added only a few years ago. If you have timber that needs cutting for a special project, or a fallen tree you want turned into lumber, they will cut it for you. They also sell select hardwood and cedar chests, and they offer do-it-yourself consultations. The area they serve is Stearns County. It suits a landowner in Stearns County who has a tree down and wants the wood sawn into boards, or a buyer who wants finished hardwood or a cedar chest from a local source.
