FBT Sawmill and Lumber
About FBT Sawmill and Lumber
FBT Sawmill and Lumber is a sawmill in Steen, Minnesota, in Rock County. It takes logs and cuts them to your specifications. The mill also cuts specialty woods for carvers, scroll saw artists, and intarsia artists, and it sells firewood, pallet wood, and non-grade lumber. The mill dries lumber too, using both dehumidification and vacuum drying. Its slabs are kiln dried in what the business calls its "state of the art vacuum kiln." It also makes benches and signs, custom hand made furniture and doors, and specialty items such as wedges. It suits a landowner in Rock County who has logs of their own and wants them sawn to their own measurements, with the option of kiln drying the finished boards.
