About Ruben Custom Sawmill and Woodworks, LLC
Ruben Custom Sawmill and Woodworks, LLC is a sawmill and woodworking shop in White Bear Township, Minnesota. Matt Ruben founded it in 2018 with a single sawmill and a goal to "reclaim Minnesota's fallen trees." It now runs as a full-time, family-run business. The work falls into milling and woodworking. For milling, it brings a portable bandsaw mill to your land and cuts your logs into lumber on site, and it offers kiln-dried slabs and native hardwoods by appointment. For woodworking, it builds live-edge tables, bar tops, mantles and butcher block style walnut countertops, and it makes kiln-dried lumber from locally salvaged wood. It works with cherry, burr oak, walnut, maple, oak, pine, cedar, fir and poplar. It gives custom quotes for furniture, milling and countertops, and it serves Ramsey County. It suits a landowner with one or a few trees down, such as a storm-downed oak or a walnut, who has no room to store green lumber and would rather hire the milling out than own a mill.
