Three Fingers Sawmill is a sawmill and woodworking shop run by James and Lynn Dykema. They moved from New London to Murdock, MN, and they still saw logs. Most of their work is custom: rustic furniture, fireplace mantels, and custom log sawing, among other things. Custom Log Sawing & Milling is the core service. They also make timber frame beams, kiln dried lumber, and custom flooring and trim. You can bring your logs to the mill, or they can bring the saw to you. Their mantel gallery shows Chinese elm, ash, oak, maple, cherry, pine, aromatic cedar, and Douglas fir. Each mantel is hand picked, and you can choose from your wood or theirs, in a rustic, contemporary, or traditional style, with a clear coat or a stain. Their home page puts it this way: "Turn Your Trees Into Family Heirlooms." Three Fingers Sawmill suits a landowner who has a few good logs and wants them made into a mantel, a set of beams, or a piece of furniture the family will keep, rather than cut for firewood.
