Barefoot Lumber is a family sawmill and woodworking business in Florence, Mississippi. Debbie and Johnny Jones founded it in 1993, and it is now run by the second generation of the family. It serves Rankin County and provides custom woodwork products and delivery services locally as well as overseas. The work covers resawing, cut stock, and finished wood products. They can supply "almost any size cut stock," from 6 by 6 by 16 feet down. They heat treat boards and pallets, and they build custom skids, crates, boxes and lids from hardwood, softwood and plywood. Delivery is part of the service. They are a member of TPI's Heat Treatment Program and work in compliance with IPPC's ISPM 15. It suits a landowner who already has logs or rough boards and wants them cut and built into finished pallets, skids, crates or boxes, with a shop in Florence to do it.
